Good Morning all,
I'd like to step up the lawn game this spring...I don't have the largest amount to take care of so at that point I want to make sure the amount of grass we do have it is looking great! Most had too a hit during the winter/snow...now has been growing back because the 80 degree days we have gotten.
Aside from just weeds/etc. growing in it, should look to do anything specific with it to clean it up?
Normal approach is just weed and feed late March and that usually does get it to a good spot, but again looking to be a little more advanced this year.
It's your typical St. Augustine grass.
I do have some spots under trees where its "spotty", how to get growth back in those areas?
Appreciate anyone's knowledge they drop here.

Separate the herbicide and fert. Have a good fungicide on hand like propiconizole or azoxdystrobin. Mow it at about 3 inches. Make sure it gets 1.5 inches of water per week. Mow weekly and raise the canopy of your trees.

See if you can find a FB group for St Aug. I'm in Bermuda lawn dominators or something and it has been a great resource.

If I wanted to make a change and put some seed down, is it too late to switch?
J/W....
Again, just trying to collect thoughts/knowledge..

Never too late. That's a pretty big project though. You can do it all at once or gradual. Can just start planting Bermuda and it will likely take over the St Aug. Make sure you have full sun.

Correct. Full sun in back yard.
Front yard is not.. so I could potentially make the switch in the back (fenced in)..
To do so, would have to clean it up then throw seed down, or just add see to current situation and the Bermuda will take over?
