sprayed the winter weed cocktail about a month ago and fertilized this week. I have 2 grass like weeds that really popped up after these little rains we’ve got the last week.

What weeds are we looking at and what is the best herbicide to knock them out? tia

The first one is a type of sedge I believe. The last 2 pictures look like hurricane grass, Fimbristylis cymosa, which is also in the sedge family. What type of grass do you have? That will help with what to spray but Image will probably do the trick.

The top two photos are a bit difficult. I would put it in the sedge category. Young broom sedge possibly. The bottom photos are slender rush.

If you have sedgehammer and celsius you can mix those.

Okay, from reading online the sedge stem would be noticeably triangular (not rounded) and I didn't notice that with either plant.

I believe it is a mix of St. Augustine (~35%) and Centipede (~65%). Im certain of the St. Aug, when it comes to what is carpet grass vs. centipede vs. zoysia Im not as familiar.

This is a house we recently moved into and the yard has a serious weed problem.

I put down LESCO 24-2-11 fertilizer last week.
