I need some help getting my grass to start growing. The house/grass is only three years old. It's centipede.

Since the first day it was planted, it has never really taken off. It will turn a brownish-green during the growing months, but has never filled out and just isn't a pretty lawn.

I've done a soil sample and it came back at a high ph. As instructed by LSU, I've applied Sulfur quarterly for the last 18 months. I've also fertilized.

I know it's early in the growing season, but I can already tell my grass isn't going to be as pretty as some of my neighbors.

Is there any recommendations for a company/individual that can come take a look and make recommendations as to what I need to do? Not looking for someone to cut my grass, just need someone to make it grow.

Thanks!

Not on centipede.

Aerate your lawn this spring and you can overseed after if you'd like. Apply a teen to low 20 N fertilizer. After that apply a low N, high iron fertilizer 2-3 more times during the growing season. Centipede is known as the lazy mans grass because of its slow growth rate.
