Just finished building a couple months ago. I had the yard spread with dirt. I fertilized and plant winter rye about a month ago. It come up within days of planting. I plan on planting Bermudagrass or St Augustine. Is there anything else to get yard ready for spring grass?

No seeds available for St. Augustine, only sod.

A couple of months ago was probably the perfect time to put down st aug sod. Temps cooling, time to root without drying up or burning up from heat.
Now....
If you choose Bermuda, then there are plenty of great seeded varieties. You’d already have a solid ground to work with. In March, scalp your rye and rake it up. Spread the Bermuda and you probably won’t even have to water. As your rye chokes out, the Bermuda will take over.
Sod will be a little more effort. Now is still a good time if they can cut. You just need to spray out your rye after you scalp it down and clean it up.

Might as well do a soil test. At least to check PH.
