Kreg 20v Iconic Drive and 520PRO pocket hole jig on sale for $178

Regularly packaged and priced at $329. This a fantastic deal for anyone interested in getting into the Kreg 20V lineup or anyone interested in woodworking.
Kreg hasn’t been making cordless power tools for very long, but their cordless lineup and battery system has quickly become a popular choice.

Good deal.
Their 20 volt system wouldn't be a bad system for someone to get in to because Kreg is making a knockoff of the Festool Domino now that their patent has finally expired.
And Kreg pocket hole jigs make woodworking joints fairly accessible for a brand new woodworker. Now, there's always a better way to join wood (I don't even consider pocket holes as joinery, it's attaching) but for speed and ease of ise, it's good for entry level and for a few select operations in cabinetry.
Now that i think about it, I don't own a single Kreg product. But if I were 30 years younger and just starting, I'd pick that up post haste.

I mostly only use pocket holes for outdoor projects like planter boxes and furniture. I can knock out a dozen planter boxes in just a few hours thanks to the ease of use Kreg provides. Pair it with Titebond 3 and you’re good to go.
Better options for joinery if you have the time and tools though I agree.
