Really fantastic inspiring specimens !!! We have been doing our research & watching YouTube - mainly Mr Maple. Ordered 11 varieties from MrMaple and all were very healthy and look great ! We ordered the most heat tolerant varieties - Emperor 1, Seiryu, Hot Blond, Inaba Shidare, Mikawa Yatsabusa, Tamukeyama, Orangeola, Fireglow, and Waterfall . We would like to get a Baton Rouge coral bark, but they were out of stock. We have a lot of tall Oak and Hickory shaded areas so the JMs are in part shade in the afternoon. Thanks for everyones help

Here's some fresh 2025 Pics. I lost my Bihou (yellow coral bark). I think the full sun it ended up getting was probably too much for it. I only remember what a few are without looking them up, so I'll just post them unlabeled.

This is the Baton Rouge (above)

The top picture is a Mikawa yatsubusa , we have 1 and it is awesome . Mr Maple says it is very heat tolerant and hearty, although very slow growing .

It’s done well. Nearly doubled in size from last year based on my first pictures. It think I got that one from conifer kingdom. I’ve had better overall luck with my MrMaple purchases. I even picked up a few in person from Maple Ridge Nursery when they were in metro Atlanta. Mr maples have been the largest for the money and best performing overall.

Good deal , let us know which varieties you choose. We wound up planting 5 in the ground, and re-poted the others . They recommend not up- potting too much - for example if you have a 1 gallon, only repot up to a 2 or 3 gallon. Don't jump straight up to a 10 - 15 gallon right away. Every 2 or 3 years you can re-pot if desired.

On Tuesday & Thursday at 10:00 (Eastern) MrMaple.com releases 10 varieties - they call it "10 @ 10". Pretty cool stuff. We loaded up on some of their specials a few weeks ago and won't be ordering more until the fall.
