I have two large metal front entry doors that are being fabricated and they are almost near completion. I have some names of guys in the Houston area that will drive over and install these doors for me (I got the names from the door company which is also in Houston), but does anyone know someone in the Baton Rouge area that has experience installing these?

The fabricator doesn’t install? What makes this different than a regular roof install? Just heavier?

They are located in Houston and they do not install in Baton Rouge. They did give me the phone numbers to some installers in Texas who travel to install their doors, so they are an option. I was just hoping to find someone local in the event I had any problems or unforeseen issues.

I'm not sure what the difference is but the fabricator suggested that I find someone with experience installing these doors because they are not as simple as installing regular, solid wood and/or glass front entry doors. I'm not sure why though.

Interesting. Have any drawings/pictures of what you’re getting? I have some guys that I use to hang doors but not sure what I would be recommending them for I guess.

If you’re interested, shoot me an email at dzntzlsu3@gmail.com and I can pass it along.

(I obviously meant door install above and not roof)

Call Robbie Turner at Old South Lighting, had them manufacture a custom metal door and frame when we built our home a few years ago in Thibodaux. Probably will cost a little more since he did not make your doors. Why did you get them in Houston, this guy is really good. And a huge Tiger fam cmon bro

I called Baton Rouge Iron Works (who I think the office is actually in Mississippi) first and I wasn't happy with the price they quoted me. I shopped around and found this company in Houston, who actually sells doors to BRIW. Since I am buying two doors, I am saving almost $10,000 total by buying in Houston.
