Saw post about pool builder, I need my in ground pool refinished. Any suggestions or recommendations. I'm in Ascension Parish. Pool is 20 yrs old rebar starting to show through old plaster. I know it's cheaper and might be better to go directly to the sub pool companies use. None do the work directly them selves.

Rebar should not be showing thru, you should have plenty of gunite surrounding that, you may get into a pretty nice project. I would definitely make sure to hire someone with a good reputation, even if a little pricey.

Had a similar issue around 2018. The bleeding rebar will need to be repaired. They chipped down and cut out the rust and coat it with epoxy. I think
I think they all pool builders sub the plaster work out to NY Garcia, so just find a company that's reputable and will stand behind their work in case there is an issue.
