Try a live trap. I have had good luck using sardines as bait

Marshmallows are great. When I was trapping a momma and babies out of my attic, when I baited with other bait I caught two of my neighbor’s cats, then an opossum, switched to a StaPuff and scored. Ended up having to hand grab the babies after mamma was relocated.
Squirrels have been a bigger challenge. They can squeeze through a really small space. I ended up hiring an ole boy fro the AP and he trapped some and sniped some. Had a CO2 pellet gun that he said cost a couple grand. It worked, I saw the bodies.
