The house I bought a year and a half ago has an old alarm system that I would like to completely disable. It randomly chirps due to sensor communication failure on windows and I'm sick of it. Any ideas?

look around for an ac adaptor in the attic or same room as the panel. disconnect the battery terminals as well.

Yep. Mine has a panel in the basement that is plugged in to a nearby outlet. I removed some sensors already when we were painting a wall. I'm going to take the control panel off next. Door sensors I cut the wire to and removed. I left the glass break sensors in place for now, but they're not getting any power.

Appreciate y'all help. In hindsight this was stupid easy and I can't believe I waited this long. Oh well, at least I get brownie points for checking off something on the honey-do list
