Anyone notice a sudden surge of these bunches and/or have experience getting rid of them?

I was thinking of starting a thread about it. I had about 40 clusters in my back yard after it rained last week. I have gotten mushrooms after rain before, but this time it was all that same species you posted. In the past I’ve had 10+ species at once.

We have 3 dogs, so there is probably a lot of feces residue in my yard, idk if that matters.

I have no real experience but just here to say I have had tons of those. Second Fall season in this house and do not remember them at all last Fall. I have no clue how to get rid of them, but I have found they die pretty quick.

If they’re honeys, then they’re most likely growing from a root of a tree. Could be an old dead root or could be alive—if you have a tree nearby, it’s most likely a goner, but you can see what an arborist says.

On the bright side, honeys are edible so long as you cook them. Harvest and feast.

I have a bunch of these also, first time I remember ever seeing them. They’re thickest around the base of a water oak tree stump I cut down several years ago.
