Has anyone grown Sea Island Red Peas?

Totally forgot we got a package of them when we went to McCrady's Tasting Room in Charleston (which was phenomenal). I've got room in the garden so going to plant and see how it goes. Anyone grown them? Any tips/tricks? I know they're just an heirloom varietal of cowpea and grow like any other polebean on a pole/trellis.

If anyone has cooked them as well, feel free to drop recipe recommendations.
