I'm trying to figure out why my dryer is constantly spewing lint all over the laundry room.

We clean the lint trap after every use. I've vacuumed the vent hose from one end to the other. I've even built a wooden plate that fits snug around the vent hose. But, we still end up with the dryer and anything near it covered in lint.

is there another vent or filter or something that I'm missing?

The dryer has an exhaust vent the only way you should get lint in the room is if your vent is blocked or broken.

have you tried running the dryer and watching where the lint is coming from specifically? it could be a loose seal or a hole in the ductwork

It’s kind of tough to do that withe dryer backed against the wall. I have turned it on with the vent connected which gives me about a foot of space.

Can’t really see lint coming out
