To add onto what I mentioned in a previous post.

In which case would it be easier to grow herbs like mint/basil/rosemary? Do they all grow better from seed or can they be propagated from a plant?

Basil will grow from seeds in days. Never tried propagation, but doubtful it is much easier.

Have done mint from propagation easily, never tried seed.

Rosemary, always buy a plant somewhere and it grows like crazy until freeze or drought. Or just mark plants in the neighborhood and shoplift from them when needed.

Growing from seed is a form of sexual propagation.
