Anybody have any tips for getting grass to grow under crapemyrtles? What are the best types of grass, fertilizer, aeration, etc?

St Aug and zoysia shouldn't have a problem growing under a crepe myrtle. Cut the fert rate in half though. Grass growing in shade doesn't need the same amount of fert.

Aggressive weed control, the grass is already competing for water and sunlight with the tree, don't make it also compete with weeds.
