More worried about scratches. Although my young daughter loves to bake and is always dropping stuff.

Pick something you’ll love in ten years, some granite is way too busy, you will get sick of it.

I like granite, but I hear quartz are better

I have had both in previous houses and we chose quartz in our new build.
