Granite Tabletop Support

The wife, no pics, found a wrought iron coffee table that she wants to use for our outdoor seating area. It doesn’t have a top, so she want to get a remnant piece of granite. The rectangular tabletop support is currently 21”x51” OD made up of 2” wide, 1/4” thick strips on the 4 sides. Will I need to add extra support for the granite or will it be able to support the top as is? We are thinking a 3cm slab. Thanks

You should be a fine.
A standard cabinet span is not much different. 24” deep and 51” wide is not uncommon.
If the fabricator is not comfortable with that span, they usually just use some metal flat bar supports (such as for seating overhangs).

You'll be fine as long as it's real granite.
