Framing old flag added pictures

I have an old military flag that flew over my unit during 9/11. The next day we put a new flag up. It’s tattered and I’d like to frame it. Been looking and most online already has a flag. Anyone have any ideas? Anything would help.

Are you wanting to frame it yourself or just get someone to frame it?

I was thinking do it myself but I probably would get someone to do it making sure it’s done right.

I'm pretty sure Michael's sells frames for this. You can also YouTube how to fold properly to fit in the frame.

You didn’t say where you are located, but in Baton Rouge I had Daryl & Sons Custom Framing frame a bunch of unframed art I had collected over the years, and accumulated in closets.
I had an interior decorator working with them to pick out frames, mats, etc. but they clearly know what they are doing. Even had some old time telegraph items from my grandfather who was a dispatcher for South Pacific Railroad and the items were strategically placed in a plexiglass shadow box and mounted in such away that it could hung on a wall. Even my interior decorator was amazed how well it turned out.
None of it was cheap but it was sure professional (old adage, you get what you pay for). Anyway, just a consideration - I think when they are provided the background of the item & it’s importance to you, they step to the plate and try to knock it out of the ballpark. My experience anyway.

I’m on the Mississippi coast. I’ll bite the bullet and do it right. It’s one reason it’s travelled with me for 20 plus years.
