I just finished a build with Cretin end of last year. Customized a floor plan using parts from two of their models. Just know that a lot of initially quoted $/sf, that’s probably going to be vinyl flooring, carpet in bedrooms, ok but not good cabinets, hollow core doors, non insulated garage, non fortified roof, no gutters, combo vinyl siding,/brick facade, the list goes on and on. Doesn’t matter who the builder is, you are going to pay if want all of the extras that you know you would be missing if you’ve owned a home before. I would definitely recommend Cretin to anyone. They only build the slab up. You are responsible for site and utilities. But they can provide recommended contractors and even coordinate all of the work. I just gave the check directly to those contractors. I was very pleased with their quality of work. From pouring slab to handing me the keys for a 2500sf house was 5 months.

They also, pretty much will adjust the floor plans completely and provide a quote with zero financial commitment. Also, no change orders were driven by them. The one or two things they missed during design, they took care of themselves.
