Electrical- gfi question

I have 2 outlets pulled/fed off of my backdoor plug/outlet for more plug convenience in the backyard.
I wanted to plug in a Landcape transformer for lights into the pergola outlet(farthest outlet fed off the backdoor) which is one of the new ones , but it says to plug the landscape lights into a gfi outlet. It’s not gfi.
1. Is this only the case with landscape lights?
2. If so can I just switch out the pergola regular outlet for a gfi?
3. Is there any issue to do this being that other outlets run off that same feed from the backdoor?
Hope this makes sense

Depends what leads were used on the gfi. Hit the test button on your main gfi outlet. If the outlet you want to use shuts off, then it is also GFI protected.
This is the case with anything used outdoors or in a kitchen or bathroom. Certain A/C units and other pumps/motors are exceptions but they require additional precautions as well.

Is the breaker for the circuit a GFCI-type? Any outdoor outlet should already be protected by either a GFCI breaker or the receptical itself. If the backdoor receptical is already GF protected then so are any downstream recepticals provided they were wired correctly. You want a GFCI-protected circuit and an outdoor rated outlet with an in-use cover, I've fixed/replaced plenty of landscape lighting issues due to those things being skipped.
