Dual Fuel vs Gas Range

I’m looking at renovating my kitchen, basically going to start from scratch. I’m likely getting either a Thermador or Wolf range. I wanted to get opinions on if I need a Dual Fuel range or just a gas range. I read that the Dual Fuel has better control if you’re cooking a lot of pastries which we do not do frequently. Any thoughts?

When we did our kitchen reno a few years ago we went with a gas range (La Cornue) and later we put electric convection ovens in our camp (Viking) and in the end like electric better for more even heat but it doesn't broil as well IMO. My wife loves the La Cornue range and wouldn't replace it even though she admits the electric ovens are slightly better because the range is an object d'art in its own right and I agree it looks really cool. La Cornue does make an induction top/electric convection range now but I am not respending the money for a small increase in function.
As a side note, we also put an induction range top in our camp and if we were honest we both probably would give the nod to induction over gas. It is a closer battle than the oven but speed, adjustability, and cleanup all slightly favor induction in our opinion now.
In the end, if you have both power and gas where you need them I would go electric oven gas range, if you only have one I would go either full gas or full electric with an induction stove top. IME there is not a day/night difference between them again if you are comparing induction on the electric side.
