It just popped up on one of mine within the past few weeks. Any ideas how to treat it?
Ive read that it isn’t fatal, but it’s extremely unsightly.

Spray with insecticide that kills aphids.
You can wash it with dawn dish soap to clean up the ugly look.

Get some Fertilome Tree and Shrub Systemic Drench or Bayer Advanced Tree and Shrub Insect Control II. That'll take care of the problem. I had them on several of mine, used both products (the nursery I went to didn't have two of either one, so I got one of each) on different ones and no longer have CMBS. It's a systemic that you pour around the roots. Or really anything with imidacloprid in it.
Or order a whole bunch of Ladybugs.
