Have to get a new well pump and pressure tank. The well company mentioned the option of a constant pressure system or could just stay with traditional pressure tank. Any insight into which is the best option? He said the constant pressure system was more expensive, but didn't get into exact costs.

Thats pretty interesting, didn't know that was an option. Looks like basically a VFD pump/motor that kicks on much faster and increases RPMs as you consume water.

Id like to know the cost difference.

I have a pressurized air volume water tank with an air volume control gizzmo that adds a little air when the pump kicks on to add well water to the tank. I use an air compressor every 2 or 3 months to increase the tank air volume that the tank loses. The well water saturates with air which decreases the tank air volume as water leaves. The air volume control doesn't add quite enough to make up for the loss. My pump turns on at 35 psig and off at 55.

Replaced the pump and tank in 2019 after 42 years.

Yeah we have discussed adding that to our system. Just got a regular ol well pump to tank setup, but we are running three houses on it.
