Any issues with connecting a fire pit to a gas line (with a regulator)? Can you use a fire pit made to connect to propane tanks? Can’t imagine why not, just want to be sure.

No man. You need to make sure you don't need a conversion orifice.

NG <> propane.

hire someone to do this. shouldn't cost more than a couple hundred bucks if the line is already there. you don't want to frick this up.

Oh totally going to hire someone to do this. Need to have them run a line to where I want it anyway and set up. More so questioning if the same type of fire pit can be used. I understand propane and NG are not the same.

usually its just and orifice that needs to be swapped out for NG. They have bigger openings since there is less btu per cubic feet.

this. if you haven't bought the firepit yet, you might want to ensure it has fittings for NG to make things easier and cheaper when the guy comes.

I had a stove that was made for propane.
Built a kitchen for my patio and had natural gas there.
All I did was drill out the orifices a little bigger and it worked fine. I used the smallest bit I had and went bigger from there until the flame was perfectly blue.
