Carpenter ants?

I woke this morning to a dozen or so winged ants around back door, inside. Segmented body, elbow antenna and triangle shaped head lead me to believe it’s not termites. I can’t find a trail or entry point. Called the exterminator & left a message. I’m wondering if they are coming from my house or from outside scouting for a place to nest. Any winged bug experts?

Don’t pay an exterminator. Get Taurus SC from amazon and spray it yourself. It will wipe out carpenter ants and termites very quickly. Nothing survives that stuff and it’s the same shite you’ll over pay the exterminator to use anyway.
