Broad Leaf Herbicide around grassy areas

Is there an herbicide I can spray on shrubby and woody plants that isn't harmful for grassy plants like wild grasses, creeping red, wild bermuda? I have a half acre plus spot, remote, that I am required to keep clear of anything shrubby or woody but also must have some kind of ground cover to prevent erosion. It would be nice to not have to get it bush hogged annually and instead just be able to mow it from time to time.
