Not a highjack......but how do you like the Z-Line? I have the same one. Maybe 6 months old and I love it.

OP I’d highly recommend anchors in the grout or something less permanent.

I understand, but if you look back at the photo form the first post, I'd only have two options for that route. the holes in the bar are 16" apart, and the tile I'm working with is 12x12, so the only two options would be the horizontal grout lines. One is too near the top of the stove, and the other is about 5" from the top...so it's a no-go.

FWIW, I did just buy a diamond hole saw bit and tried that, but because it's circular and at a horrible angle to work with and the granite is slick it wanted to slide. By the time I'd managed to get it to bite it had moved a bit, which means trying to get the second hold EXACTLY 16" away and perfectly horizontal is going to be virtually impossible. So, back to the drawing board...

We got this one, though the little black switches for the light and convection fan are actually stainless buttons on ours.

So far so good. Had it installed about a week or so ago. did have a few issues that I needed to contact the company about, but they were really quick tp respond and answered my questions. First was the really awful design of the oven temp knob...the markings make no sense. There's this odd line with a dot and no markings in between. What you see here is set on 350, so 375 is directly over the 400 number.

Second thing was that the gas stove top had very little range between full blast high and the lowest setting, making simmering impossible even on that smallest burner. I found this out making rice... Turns out it's an easy fix by removing the stove knobs and using a little screwdriver tool that came with it and adjusting them down. Easy Peasy.

It is really weird to have that cooling fan come on when the oven gets hot, as it's not altogether noisy but it's really quiet when it finally kicks off when it cools off if that makes sense.

That's absolute black, you are not drilling it with a hole saw. Well they make stuff to do it, but it's very very expensive, and not sold at home Depot. That's the hardest granite there is. Bitch to polish

You could drill new holes in the stainless knife bar fairly easily that are the same width as your grout joints.

Personally, I’d look into something temporary if you are going to glue it. Could just do some 3m double stick tape. Use it for a week or a month to make sure you like it.

I’m not sure why you would put your knives above your stove as that’s not where your knives are used, but that’s just me.

Because it's where I have the space to do it. That same black granite tile runs along the entire length of our countertops against the wall and is six inches high. We have a 10' ceiling in the kitchen, but kind of long (top to bottom) cabinets so there is only approximately 10" or so of wall space between the bottom of the cabinets and the top of the granite tile run, so there is literally no space for them under the counter. even if there were, I'm 6'3" and the one that cooks 90% of the time, so I'd be ducking down to see them to grab them even if they did. Besides, our counting board set up is literally just to the right so they're right there.

In our kitchen, this was 100% the place they needed to go if they were going up. And again, this wasn't to "display" the knives so much as it was to remove the old knife block we had just to the left of the stovetop that was taking up counter space.

So here's what I ended up with. While looking through various options I thought about high strength Velcro tape and found this stuff. Needed to trim it length wise a bit but otherwise it fit perfectly. Used two packs and alternated fuzzy and hook on the back of the bar and matched it on the wall. Bar weighs just under 4lbs and the knives and stuff might weigh 4 combined.

Ended up with this and it feels super secure. Knife block to the left is going into the box of "future apartment" stuff for our sons if/when they need that kind of stuff.
