Are there any good quality dash cams that are completely hidden?

I don’t want anything visible that would attract a thief so it has to be hidden. It needs to record in park mode while I’m sleeping at night and it needs to upload activity to the cloud to identify a thief.

only oem systems like tesla.

there are definitely some that install on/around the rearview mirror or along the top edge of the glass that are less obvious and routing the wires under the headliner and pillars also make it less obvious there's a camera.

in short, i think the one that connects near/on/under the rearview mirror is more subtle and with all the doodads on rearview mirrors these days, less likely for someone to notice its a camera.

My wife has a camera that goes over the rear view mirror. It looks like it’s part of it after I hide the wires. Wolfbox makes it. Can buy from Amazon

i like the blackvue and similar; very subtle.

that dotted 'screen' all car windshields have at the top helps to conceal stuff too.

I don't know if it's your plan, but if you shoot someone breaking into your car, YOU will go to jail.

most have this feature; they come with phone apps.

you *will* have to buy one with a sensor that detects battery voltage and wire it properly to a lead that is hot when the car is parked.

the sensor is set so if the battery starts to drain below a certain level it will turn off. if the thief strikes after that, no recording.

its either that or coming downstairs to a car that won't start.

Um, I have no intention of shooting anyone EVER and definitely NOT for car theft. I simply want to be able to identify who stole the car should it happen again. My daughters car was stolen and we have no idea who did it.
