I recently found termites in my mancave and am under contract with Terminix. I called yesterday to report it and was told they'd call back later that day with an appointment time to come inspect.

No call or email.

Called this afternoon to see if I could schedule the appointment and was told that I have an appointment scheduled for Saturday. They were confused why I was calling and kept asking if I was calling to confirm my Saturday appointment. I explained that I didn't even know I had an appointment on Saturday but yea, I'll confirm it.

She put me on hold. Came back and said that I don't have an appointment on Saturday and that they'd have a technician call me within 48 hours to schedule an appointment for me either on Tomorrow (within 48 hours), Saturday (48 hours), or the day after Christmas.

I also have to speak to a call center every time I call the Baton Rouge office (with a local number). Why can't I just talk to someone at their office?

In the past, they've shown up randomly at my house for inspections when I wasn't even aware I had an appointment and then other times when I had a scheduled appointment they won't show up. I even had them tell me they showed up on a day that they didn't show up.

What is their problem? Why can't they get their shite together there?

Have dealt with them a few times the last year. Out of New Orleans. I call the number in Metry, was shocked the girl said she was actually in the Metry office. First appt was 2 days after I scheduled it. Second one was within 36 hours (thought I saw more termites, but apparently the medicine takes a little while to work).

Huge issues.

They randomly show up without a prior call. We want them inside the house on every 3month visit.

Sometimes they would show up and not inspect the inside but still charge us for the service.

They charge you for inspections? I've never been charged for an inspection.

do you have a linkedin account?

A guy by the name of James Robinson is the corporate communications director for their parent company ServiceMaster

He is an ole miss guy... you should start at the top and communicate your issue down the ladder. These people should know better than having a linkedin account being in corporate communications.

I did that exact thing a year or so ago but reached out to their brand new CEO. Not a peep from him or their local office.

The company is pure shite IMO. I only keep them for their termite guarantee -- which I'm sure they will find every way imaginable to frick me sideways with when they see that I have termite damage with an active infestation now.

That's very common. Find yourself a local small business.

I'd love to but I always hear that Terminix has the best guarantee in the business. That's what keeps me with them.

Servicemaster is turrible. I know people that have worked there and were ready to burn the place to the ground. One guy got married and once he was on wife's health insurance he quit the next day. They treat everyone like shite. it starts with their employees and that spills all the way down into every aspect and line of business they have.

this website simply existing should give you an idea of how bad they are

i spray for pests myself, but not for termites. i am a renter tho and the management company handles that. I'm pretty sure they mix their own chemicals.

I do my own pest control as well. If you want it done right do it yourself. Most pest control companies want you on a contract, so they can charge you for multiple visits. You need to kill pests not control them. Way cheaper to do it yourself.
