American smoke trees

Does anyone have one in their yard? I’m in zone 9 and just want a small tree for the front yard, something uncommon but will grow here. TIA

I don’t personally have any, but smoke trees surround a bus station a few miles from my house. They seem to be healthy. I’m just north of Atlanta which is at the border of zones 7 and 8.
