I wanted to ask the board what a fair price would be to have a 3 ton A/C unit (Lennox) coils replaced. I have one quote so far at $1500. What say the board?

R-22 or R-410A refrigerant? Is the evaporator coil still under warranty and that just the labor and refrigerant cost to replace the coil, or are you paying for the coil, labor and refrigerant?. Does it have a TXV or piston metering device (more labor to install the TXV with the replacement coil).

But that price seems to be in the ball park.

the coil alone probably runs $1000-$1200. $1500 seems like a good price to me.

Paid $1600 last month to have it done at my place. Your quote is good.
