Basically the title, first Winter with this unit, trying to trouble shoot and this is what I've narrowed the issue down to.

Internet doesn't have a lot of info on brand new systems where the igniter won't glow.

Worn out maybe. Or low voltage to it maybe. I really don't know. My igniter experience is with stoves etc.

Is the igniter ceramic?

It might be, it's a white tampon looking cylinder.

I mean everything looks BRAND new, no cracks or anything. Called the HVAC guy who installed it and hopefully he can fit me in.

If your guy can't make it and need heat over the weekend. You can light the furnace manually with one of those long cigarette lighters. Link to a youtube how to. Don't blow up.

They are noted for going bad. Sometimes u can see a crack and others u can't. The furnace should have a purge fan it has to run for it to glow. Also there is round thing with hoses attached if it isn't working it want glow. Those are all safeties.

Sure the other devices in the sequence are working? For example, is it generating enough pressure to make up the pressure switch? If all criteria in the sequence are not met, I don't believe it will try to ignite

Thermostat completes circuit between W and R>induced draft motor runs > satisfies vacuum switch > board powers igniter > igniter glows, millivolts sent back to board> board powers gas valve open > furnace lights up > fan delay kicks on the blower once the heat exchanger temps > sweet heat

Sounds like a couple of things potentially, a shite ceramic igniter (DON’T TOUCH IT: the oil from your hands WILL CRACK IT when it tries to ignite again) or a control board issue, but I’m thinking the vacuum switch. pull the vacuum line (purple or orange rubber tube) off the outlet of the draft motor and alternate blowing and sucking into it, could be a vacuum switch not making properly or condensation buildup in the vacuum line too.
