Natural gas or propane?
If propane, are you on a 5 gallon tank? Does it freeze over? What type of gas usage are you getting compared to your old double jet burner?
Thanks!

I assume you mean a 20 lb. tank? No, I have a fairly new 100 lb. Flame King wheeled tank I use as a primary tank at home and a smaller 40 lb. Flame King that I first bought when buying the Venable and I now use as a backup or for when I bring the boiler on the road somewhere else to boil.
Venable states that you will need at least a 40 lb. tank to use with their boiler due to the 480k btu burner. Also keep in mind that anything over a 60 lb. tank is illegal to carry inside the cab of a vehicle like a car or SUV per DOT regulations.

No issues with tanks freezing over.

To be honest, I used to use a few different 20 lb. tanks that I own when I was still using the double jet. It's been so long that it's hard to recall exactly to make a comparison. IMO it's not so much the tanks but the regulators that make the difference when boiling.
But if I'm being honest the separate pot/burners are not nearly as efficient as the Venable, although there are now pots made with square tubing or ribs welded underneath that soak up heat better than standard aluminum pots. Venable's design IMO does not allow as much radiant heat to escape, and it conducts the heat into the water more rapidly and soooo much more quietly than a pot sitting atop a burner.
