Why was my Steele-Recruiting Question Thread Anchored?

Okay Chicken, now I can understand you guys anchoring threads with irrational hate and no substance. You should.
But my thread had substance and was thought out, like all my thread starters and I thought it sparked good discussion.
Sure, while I do not like the Steele hire, I am not trolling the board with non-substantive posts.
I'm disappointed. I have been here ten years, and the moderation has never been heavyhanded like it has been on the Steele hire.
Could you give me a specific reason why you thought my thread wasn't worthy to be bumped normally by responses?

I didn't anchor it, but for someone worried about others psychological issues, you seem to have some of your own...
Yikes.
Yikes.

Why thank you Rummel, I appreciate that.
I didn't realize that a long-time poster who supports this site and talks it up everywhere, asking a question frankly but respectfully, amounted to "psychological issues."
Forgive me for asking. I'll crawl back in my hole now.

I un-achored your thread but won't guarantee that it won't get the anchor again.
You can complain about all of the heavy handed adminning you want. We have been very fair.
Posters need to start reading before starting threads and can voice frustration and displeasure without name calling or threatening violence towards the coaching staff or administration.
We don't care how long a poster has been here or how many posts they have. If your post is bad, it will get anchored or deleted. If it is a repeat thread, it will probably be anchored or deleted.
If your thread is on the wrong board, it will be moved, anchored or deleted.
I suggest that posters take a few minutes to read the board before starting a new thread to see if their thought would fit into an existing thread.

Fred, thanks for the explanation.
Just put the anchor back on. It is on the back pages now anyway.
I fail to see though, that my OP had the following in it:
But that's fine. I have been here a decade, have always enjoyed this site, and do not want to be trouble.
I assure you, I will not post again about the Steele hire.

I don't know why your post got the anchor. There may have been a similar topic about his recruiting.
That part of my post was directed to your comment about the heavy handed adminning.
You aren't in trouble.

I disagree with the "respectfully" part... But, just so I have it straight, it's okay for you to insinuate that an LSU coach has these issues, but it's wrong for anyone to say it about you? Okay.

Well...okay.

Fred, you should get the Nicest Admin Evar Award.

I'd hate to see what he would've posted if he hadn't been so respectful...

Rummel, I was not referring to the man personally with the term "total loser."
I think that should have been obvious, given his record as head coach at Baylor.
He was 9-36 overall and 1-31 in conference.
As far as his coaching record, I'd say the term fits.
