Why no last page link at top of thread?

At the bottom of the first page of a thread, there is always a forward arrow, (bqck and foreard on subsequent pages)and of course the first and last page arrow buttons under all the posts on that page.
However, it would be nice, especially on mobile, to have a last page button be at the top of the posts on the first page.
Especially given a thread like the Malaysia plane crash. To get to the last page I enter page one, then have to scroll forever past all the posts to hit the last page button At The bottom. There is already a "next page" button at the top of page 1 of a thread, so why not a "Last Page" button?

If you're in a thread that has multiple pages on mobile, at the top, if you click where it says "page 1 of x" it should scroll you automatically to the bottom of the last post here you can click on the last page button.

On the main board, if you click on the name of the poster in the "last post" column, it will bring you to the last post of that thread.

Pretty sure I knew that and summarily forgot it. Works ok on mobile so I'll go with that until I get my button. Thanks

On mobile, if it's a multiple page thread, let's say you're on page 2. You can click where it says "page 2" at the top (located between the arrows) and that will bring you to the bottom of the page. Then hit the double arrow to go to last page.
I think someone also said when on the board itself, you can click the last posters name (in the last post column, located to the far right) and it'll bring you to the last post in the thread.
Or you can just click the Bottom button on the top of page one.
