Why does the :rimshot: emoticon not work anymore?

In another thread (about two weeks ago), I mentioned that rimshot2 still works, but for some reason now it's not.

What's weird is that sometimes certain emoticons do work if you add more than one.
At least for me, this one never shows by itself:

For example, here's the exact same post as above (quoted) with a casty added — they should all work now.
