TigerDroppings very slow, waits on ad loads

My TD is very slow. I get the message "a page is slowing down" frequently. I also get a lot of lag when I type.
Is there something I need to do to speed things up? This just started within the last seven days. Thanks.

Same started happening to me a few weeks ago on my laptop. TD is the only site on which this happens.
