It's with your misogynist posts that make the OT look like a den of iniquity.
The OT is teased with the caption "Abandon all hope, all ye who enter here".
So imagine my surprise when I enter the OT to find a Bible study group.
Den of iniquity seems far more congruent with the purpose of the OT.
Maybe you should get the admins to create a Religion Board.

That is why his Bible thread last night got whacked and then once it was brought back got the immediate anchor.

You're surprised to find a Bible thread in a forum that draws a quote from Dante's Divine Comedy? Has there been a more divine book, besides the Bible, than The Divine Comedy? Does Dante in his search of the Beloved enter the gates or does he cowardly turn around and ask to enter heaven first? One must journey downward before he can ascend.

Yeah, as in the supposed inscription at the entrance to Hell.

Having a Bible study group in the OT makes as much sense as the guys with the cross with electronic scroll boards in the middle of Bourbon Street.
The city of New Orleans tolerates them and TD tolerates you. Doesn't alter the reality that you are a very square peg in the OT's round hole.
Not saying you shouldn't have your Bible study thread in the OT any more than I'm saying those dudes on Bourbon Street should pack up their crosses and leave... just saying it's never going to be a good fit.
TD is the very last place on Earth (especially the OT) I'm going to turn to get right with God. If anything, I should be confessing to my priest weekly that I spend way too much time on TD and praying to God to give me the willpower to completely abstain from this den of iniquity and devote my life to a far more worthy cause like serving the poor.

Have you considered who the poor are?
Jesus did not come to serve the rich, the healthy, and the happy. Nor did he spend the majority of his time in the Temple.

Are you implying that you are here to serve to the unrich, unhealthy, unhappy masses at Tiger Droppings?
ETA: You don't happen to be one of the dudes with the crosses on Bourbon Street, do you?

Yes. And the vast majority of the world's true poor and those truly suffering do not live in the United States of America. And probably aren't logging on to Tiger Droppings. Or dropping $200 on Bourbon Street tonight.

It sounds like God is calling you to serve the hungry and needy of the world. Each is called to a different place and to different peoples at different times. Where need presents itself, no matter where it be, obligation of the chosen ones to that need exists.

Praise the Lord for delivering you unto Tiger Droppings.

I'm a guilt ridden Catholic. No further comment.

It's with your misogynist posts that make the OT look like a den of iniquity. Consider who two of the biggest sponsors of TigerDroppings: Ochsner and the Bridge House. Do you think they want to sponsor a website that promotes hatred of women?

Indeed.
Just remember... the OT is billed as the gates to hell, not heaven.

Romans 8:19-22.
The OT is not Hell but the wilderness, truly a portal through which salvation is given. Did Dante enter the portal where all hope was to be abandoned only to learn that he was damned and without hope? Was the beatific vision ever realized?
