Dude, that looks awesome. Came out better than I thought it would. Can you do me one more favor? Can you take the one you just made, and put "bluecheese" on there instead of boxcarbarney. I'm gonna try for a name change and I figure it might be easier if I already have a sig pic made.

Dude if it's a problem, don't sweat it. But if you can do it, it will be much appreciated.

well, i have started doing some sigs on a duck hunting forum i am on and one guy was wanting his username done in a camo pattern. I think that i found out how to do it through filter > pattern maker.

Here's how I have done it...
Step 1: layer 1 camo
Step 2: text layer-- type out what ever
Step 3: on text layer-- Layer> Rasterize> Type
Step 4: use majic wand on text layer
Step 5: high light camo layer-- left click the layer in the box-- lower right side
Step 6: Ctrl X to cut out text
You should have a text in camo pattern. You can then go to Layer Styles and adjust it.

100% agreement I think it happens to most that do any type of art.
