KEYBOARD LOCK HELP

My sons keyboard is locked .It won't allow him to get past the windows pass word. It will not show anything when he tries to tpye the pass word in.
The locked light on the keyboard is on.
Tried unplugging and restarting but nothing.
Anybody?

If it is XP, there is a lock function.
Windows key & L locks the computer,
Windows key & E opens the computer.....
See if that works

What browser is he using? Sounds like a firefox issue...
