iTunes conversion to MP3s

I bought my wife a Philips MP3 player. However, shoe downloaded like $100 worth of music from iTunes that is not compatible with the MP3 player since the player is not an iPod. Is there a way to convert all of those files to MP3s? There is no guidance on the Apple Web site (obviously).

Oh, so yeah you can either burn all the songs to audio CDs and re-rip as MP3, or you can use some virtual CD software instead of burning all those real CDs and re-rip from the virtual drive.
