I don't like this new side menu - can we change it back?

I am struggling to click links. The scheme makes me hesitate like I am about to scratch my finger nails across a chalk board.
Like I am biting down on tin foil.
Like I am standing up and pulling up my pants without wiping.
Something's off. Please don't let this spread. Admins please stop the insanity now.
