Folk thread on music board

I just read the MB guidelines, and I realize that y'all are trying to keep stickies to a minimum there, but that thread is becoming a catalog of really good music. The first bullet in that sticky says that threads should promote participation, and this one has been getting bumped for months. If it gets the sticky I think it would get a lot of traffic and I wouldn't have to google it so much. TIA oh amazing and wonderful admins.

If you do that, you're going to have to have a sticky for every damn genre of music and that'll get too cluttered.
Also, it obviously doesn't have the participation, and isn't important enough to stay on the first page.

I called it the folk thread, but it's really diverse, and has turned into a music history thread. It touches on all the founding genres and paints a pretty cool picture of their evolution.
Pour a glass of whiskey one sunday afternoon and scan through it, you won't be disappointed.
eta: I want a sticky because it grows with every bump, and I hear something I would have never found myself.
