F 150 2011 transmission acting up

Fluid was two quarts low but after i filled it up the damn thing almost threw me through the windshield it down shifted so hard.

all you can do is run it for a while and hope it smooths out...

Sounds like you wasn't two quarts low - transmission fluid is basically a hydraulic fluid - too much pressure built up and the tranny was mad - ref the masturbation thread on the OT - seriously sounds like you overfilled - I'm sure there will be some ford auto trans experts in later to help you out - just my 2 cents. I am not a mechanic in real life - I have smooth but manly knuckles.

This reminds me of the time...I was dept head in hospital and we opened up a new department called "transitions". I called and starting asking them about my truck transmission. I was talking real country etc. The lady was attempting to explain to me it was transitions, not transmissions, but I ignored her. Finally, she got the dept head on the phone, who quickly figured out it was me..... who threatened me..... a good day.
