Having dishwasher problems. All exterior lights come on, but nothing happens when I press start button. Anyone know what the problem may be? Thanks in advance.

This is not that kind of help board.
HOWEVER...if they ever adopt my idea for a board: Home and Health Board...then you'd have a place to post it!

I got you.
First off I really need a model number to help for sure, but 9/10 times if the lights come on and nothing works, it's a bad latch switch. Basically a dishwasher for obvious reasons only starts a cycle when the door is closed. If it cannot tell that the door is closed it will never start the cycle.
Unless you have a Miele, Bosch, Fisher/Paykel or an Asko I can talk you through a latch switch replacement in this thread.
the part will cost between $30-80.
I'm usually around here most of the time when I am playing on my laptop between jobs, but you can also contact me at napoleontd@gmail.com and I will give you more info.
But for future refernce when you need appliance help, you need to be specific (make, model, age.. etc)
I can't say how many times a day I get a call that goes like this -- "Hey, my fridge is not working, how much it be to fix it?" Well it could be super simple and cost less than $100 or it could need a new compressor and cost $750. It depends on factors, so we need those factors to determine what it is and what it cost.
Luckily for you dishwahsers are pretty simple.
If it's not the latch, it's the control.
