my educated guess would be that chick-o and circus didn't think it would ever get this big and came up with this name after a two-day bender back in the day ..

I think part of the success of the site was the attraction of people to the weird name...there certainly is a curiosity factor working...but yeah, when the domain was registered on August 13, 2001, while I lay in bed, between contracts and not working, I didn't think it would ever get this big. It was a total BS site. But a friend in advertising thought it was catchy and had "smile appeal" and suggested we stick to it...

"google" sounds goofy as shite too, but is now a verb ... nothing wrong with the name .. it stands out and is very easy to remember, chicken ..

i totally tigerdroppingsed that chick the other night.
As for the t-shirts. - I like the raised T and D, I like the tiger head (in lieu of a fricking awesome picture of spirit of dunson), and I agree that the "property of, XXL" stuff is crap.
