In my opinion Malzhan has shown himself to be a total cancer to a teams chemistry especially when they are giving you a chance to make 3 times as much as you ever made in highschool. He'll be fired possibly after his first year b/c his philosphy doesn't jive with Gene's.
He reminds me alot of Urban Meyer's offense. They both came through the ranks with a system that won't work at the highest level b/c you are too limited to certain things with it.

BP had to do what he had to do but I don' think all the negative publicity bodes well for future recruiting. He's already commiting guys this year that could be guys he commits in January.

Ole Miss has the best QB in the West
Ole Miss has the best Defensive line in the west
Ole Miss has no weak links
Ole Miss knows how to defeat Florida although I think it's gonna be Georiga in the title game.
Ole Miss will play in the national championship game

LOL. most people on this board are casual fans as you are. They don't understand the nuts and bolts of winning football. You are only capable of seeing final results and saying "well it is this way b/c it happend this way" But you are too ignornant to comprehend why it is how it is. And why Meyer will eventually fail if he keeps his offense. And why he's telling everyone he's changing it this year. Meyer is a crappy coach in a close game. He proved it against 23 point underdog ole miss and he's proved it all his life.
His act is getting very stale.

You need to read more of his posts.

I've read enough of them to predict his posts, during the season, will have 10+ page potential.
That's awesome tardness right there.

Tebow will get hurt or something. I was watching the replay of the 2005 South Carolina game and Meyer in a close game even against an inferior opponent is simply a below average coach. If he can't blow someone away early he's below average. I also think they are going to run in to some troubles in the SEC trying to put a QB under center for the first time in his life and run plays that you run under center. That type of overhaul is something that takes a while to get use to and sometimes an entire season. Snead played poorly early due in large part to that.

Ross my friend you're in an argument you are never going to win. Here is what I want you to do. You are a sharp kid. I realize you want to win brownie points with your forum peers by sticking up for the general consensus of what the majority thinks is correct. The thing is when it comes to X&0 of football I am the only one on this forum that matters. I am the only one that really knows anything (that I know of). So try to impress me with your knowledge, not your argument. B/c there is absolutly no logic in your argument.
There is apparently no logic in assuming that Meyer is a good coach.

KY is putting alot more players in the NFL now. The mock draft shows this year they have 5 projected to be drafted, one of which was from the city of Louisville. Louisville, (BP's recruits) have none projected but possibly one juco that Kragthrope recruited. So his first full class (2nd) had 3 receivers and a lineman then his second class had 2 local lineman (09 draft) and his theird class projects as NO ONE. KY=5. so the reason why he was beating up on KY was b/c they were on probation from Mummy and couldn't recruit as well or something shaddy was going on in recruiting LVille before he got there. The bottom line is, there is no evidence he recruits beyond offensive players in his first full class. Petrinos third and fourth recruting class may have ranked higher than KY, but that goes to show what recruiting services are good for. They missed. KY is putting ALOT more guys in now that Brooks recruits are comparing to Petrino's recruits and it wasn't like that under Lvilles last coach. Maybe KY is suppose to out-recruit Lville b/c it's an SEC school but you definatly have your reason for why Lville beat up on KY when Petrino was there and strong evidence that would not have continued had he stayed and played with his own players. Remember, even in 06 the 5 guys drafted after that year were part of the 03 class. Petrino might have kept that class committed but the last staff put the class together.
I disagree with your 5-7 statement. Although it's not relevant to the conversation I think had Nutt inherited this team last year the guys play alot harder, he's got another running back ready, and is at least 7-5 with non blow out losses to Bama and Texas and easier wins over the first 2. Ernest Mitchll, Robinson, Chip Gregory, Cord Gray, Fairchild, Petrus, the linebacker from Jenks that transfered out, I have a feeling this team would have been alot more physical had the old regime been here.
ONe thing you need to realize about recruiting is that there was no "frick up" about it different than any other coach around the country. Arkansas is a hard place to recruit SEC players too b/c the state doesn't produce much talent. Never, EVER will Arkansas recruit 20 SEC caliber players like Bama, Florida, GA, Auburn, and LSU do in one class. Look on the first full class. There are a ton of "projects" or Diamonds in the rough. Only a couple of them were offered by a home state school. Arkansas didn't produce much talent that graduated this year other than Luigs. IT IS NOT LOGICAL TO expect a coach to go out of state and consistantly recruit future NFL draft picks that home state programs are offering. In the state of Kentucky's case Louisville was getting most of it until Petrino came along, then Brooks was getting it, the future NFL talent that is.
The Cotton Bowl usually takes the #2 team in the SEC WEST. if you read my post correctly you would have understood that. East teams rarely go to the cotton bowl.
Arkansas does not have 10 times the resources that Louisville has. John Pelphrey recruited the 16th best class but 4 out of the 6 have already left. I'm not so sure the national ranking is as important as the conference pecking order and we didn't move up in the conference pecking order from where we always were if you eliminate the Juco's who will only be here 2 years anyway, and then you start over at that posistion so it's actually a catch22 situation. The 4 star gives you a boner and helps your ranking and you can brag about keeping up with Nutt but he didn't load up on Juco's b/c that's not how he recruits. So eventually you have got to play him with you having alot more new players in your system and him having mostly players that's been in his system 3 and 4 years and you'll be doing that a few years in a row until you get a recruiter that doesn't take short cuts. Also consider the fact that Petrino struck out on defensive line with the exception of DD jones and he went down today.
BCShog , my friend, this was a weak post for you to have spent so much time on. VEry Weak, very illogical.
