So i wanted to make a post on why protien is so important and why it is different than the other macros. First the thermic effect of protein is much higher than the other macros. Protein uses up to 45% more energy to digest compared to the other macros. This is incredible and can make a huge difference over time. LINK to study
Another study compared the amount of muscle that was created from excess calories from each of the macros. The study found 95% of excess calories that come from carbs or fat were stored as fat. The study also found that 45% of excess calories from protein was stored as muscle. So 95% of calories from non protein macros was stored as fat, compared to only 55% of excess calories from protein were stored as fat. Huge difference there. LINK to study
So next time you want to go on a bulk or you want to cut, the greater the percentage of calories from protein you can handle, the better your results will be.

I think you mean for the non-lingusitc folks.
Always interesting to find out about original root word meanings. Amazing how the Greeks and Latins really nailed so much without the scientific knowledge we had today.
