What routines does the OT recommend?

I'm about to try Steve Cook's Big Man on Campus but figured I would ask around before starting this. Anyone ever do Cook's plan btw?
Edit: Also, if anyone would have advice on some solid leg workouts because I shattered my right leg years ago and now have a metal rod in it. Squats are okay on the way up but going down seems to aggravate it some still.

What are your goals, current conditioning? Any other restrictions other than squats? What about front squats?
