Starting a boxing class next week

So I'm a few years out of college and in the worst shape of my life. I used to work out almost every day in college, but haven't done much at all since. I hate working out mainly because I get winded really easily and I am lazy.
but.... I have come to the realization that if I don't start back now, I never will. I bought some Title boxing gloves and signed up at the boxing gym next to my apartment for their fitness classes. I tried it once a few weeks ago and it was one of the toughest workouts I've done since that awful time I tried Crossfit. Basically 30 mins of cardio and 30 mins of heavy bag.
My goal is to lose 30 lbs by July 4. I plan on eating healthy as well.
Have any of you seen good results from boxing classes? Tell me about your experience.

I have never done them but lift 3 days a week and do cardio the other 2. Looking for something like this on one of the cardio days. Any feedback as you progress through it would be nice.

I'll let you know. I tried just lifting and doing cardio on my own, but I lack the self discipline to be serious about it. I'm hoping these classes with an actual instructor will help me get back into the habit.

I don't know that mine were "classes" but I got in great shape a while back by joining a boxing gym and doing circuit workouts. Basically, do each station for 3 minutes to simulate the length of a boxing round. Stations were jumping rope, speed bag, heavy bag, shadow box, abs with medicine ball. Do each station twice. I was in great shape after that. It's a very good workout that hammers core strength and shoulders and back as well as general cardio.
